SkillPROOF launches KRAZOOM: Job Search without Search

Job search on job boards and corporate websites is a tedious, time consuming and often frustrating experience. Job seekers using these tools to find their next employment know all too well. Job board technology to help job seekers find good matches in the millions of online job postings has not changed since job boards were first invented during the early nineties. The big obstacle for job seekers is the keyword search.

Using a keyword search, job seekers guess words which may be included in the text of job postings. They can only enter a few keywords to generate job listings since the technology behind the keyword search it will not match to more descriptive expressions. Not knowing what employers are looking for, job seekers are engaged in a repeated trial and error guessing game which produces job listings with little relevance for their background.

Based on its extensive research of job postings, SkillPROOF Inc. has developed KRAZOOM, a new type of job board which helps job seekers to find job opportunties which match their skills and education. KRAZOOM is based on the Job Requirement Index Standard (JORIS) which is discussed below. KRAZOOM in combination with JORIS solves significant keyword search problems including Search Result Choking, Vague Requirements, Term Variation and Misspelled Requirements. Learn more about JORIS technology in action on the KRAZOOM website.

SkillPROOF publishes the Job Requirement Index Standard (JORIS)

Employers express their demand for workers in job postings which they make available on the Internet. There are millions of job postings online. Unfortunately no job seeker or anybody interested in labor demand has the time to read them all. So the question remains: What are employers looking for?

Based on years of researching job postings SkillPROOF has created the Job Requirements Index Standard (JORIS). JORIS is the language employers use in job postings but which is "hidden" in the text. It is a compilation of concepts which employers embed in their job descriptions. Example: "Technical High School Diploma" may be a job requirement. Job requirement concepts like this are frequent and very important. They are also a major obstacle for every job seeker using a keyword search.

Applications of JORIS include job search, job applicant evaluation, job market statistics, career counseling and curriculum development.
