What is Ajax? Ajax is the shorthand for Asynchronous JavaScript And XML. The shorthand was created by Adaptive Path and first published by Jesse James Garrett. Ajax is gaining rapid acceptance. One reason certainly is that it defines in a single word the implementation of highly popular applications like Google Maps, Flickr and others. Employers who want to implement similar user interfaces in their web sites don't have to specify "XHTML, CSS, DOM, XML, XSLT, XMLHTTPRequest and Javascript" in their job descriptions when they are looking for someone who can create a cool new web user experience a la Google.
What is this page This page shows the growth in demand for Ajax skills based on job openings at nationwide direct employers in the United States. No jobs from staffing and recruiting firms are counted. The statistics on this page are updated at the beginning of each month. To see the growth over time step through it month by month.
